The Practice was opened in May 1998 to provide GP services to the expanding areas of Eastern Milton Keynes. It has grown from just one GP to there now being five Doctors and a nurse partner with a large team of other professionals and support staff. All are committed to providing patients with a high quality and personal service.
The building has been designed to provide a pleasant and welcoming environment and it is equipped to very high standards. There is a large car park located adjacent to the surgery. Please park considerately to allow maximum use and kindly avoid the spaces reserved for doctors who may need to get in and out in an emergency. The area nearest the surgery entrance is reserved for disabled patients and for parents with small children. For patients who are disabled there is easy access and all consulting rooms are on the ground floor.
We are pleased to have Jardines Pharmacy incorporating the village Post Office on site. Please note that this is not under control of the practice and any enquiries should be made directly to Jardines.
A Partnership with Patients
We believe that looking after your health must be a partnership between the practice and you the patient. We will try to give you as much information as possible about your condition and where choices of treatment exist to explain these to you.
We aim to provide all our patients with a high quality clinical service in a pleasant and welcoming environment.
Your own Doctor
We operate a personal doctor system. This means that you will normally be seen by your own doctor as we believe this provides the best continuity of care. If your own doctor is not available you will be informed and told the name of the doctor available.
In all cases however, the doctor with whom you are registered will retain overall responsibility for your care. If you wish to change your personal doctor you can request to do so by letter to the Practice Manager.
If you do not know who your named Doctor is, please contact the care navigation team who will be happy to tell you.
Practice NHS Contract
Milton Keynes Village Practice is an independent partnership of clinicians providing NHS services in contract with NHS MK & Northamptonshire, Francis Crick House, Summerhouse Road, Moulton Park, Northampton NN3 6BF 01604 651100.
The average pay for GPs working for six months or more in Milton Keynes Village Practice in the last financial year is £66,500 before Tax and National Insurance.
You may have seen figures published by other Practices that appear significantly lower than ours. This is because the government has insisted that we divide the total Practice NHS income by the number of doctors, regardless of whether they are full or part time. Milton Keynes Village Practice had five full time and two part time GP’s in the last financial year.
