In order to ensure speedy and accurate recording of consultations we have started to use some transcription software. The software records what is said, and offers the GP a written preview to check before saving to medical records. This consultation information is deleted from the software once saved to medical records.
A webcam is used to record the conversation, but there are no images, it purely records the conversation.
Your GP should remind you of this each time you attend. If you have any objections please mention them to the GP at the time.
