Self-care is about looking after yourself in a healthy way. This includes maintaining a healthy diet, managing common conditions such as headaches, cold and coughs or living with long term health problems such as asthma. Self-care is even more important during the winter months when seasonal illnesses can increase. Choosing life style choices that impact positively on your physical health, mental wellbeing and self-esteem are important. Making sure you eat well, drink in moderation, stop smoking and stay active all help beat the winter blues.
